Clearance - Large Universal Pinion Yoke Holder

from $64.60
sale

Our new large pinion tool has since been made a little bit bigger to accommodate the modern 1 ton truck round flanges. So this “clearance model” is our original large size and fits most large yokes and flanges. However it may not fill well on a more modern large round flange like the AAM 11.8.

It’s time that you can save your pipe wrench for plumbing, not gear work. With our beefy universal pinion holder, you’ll never have a problem torqueing down crush sleeves (or non-crush sleeve applications) again.

Guaranteed to never bend or break like some of the others on the market. Fully TIG welded and made of solid steel. The end of this holder is made to fit inside your floor jack removable handle, or into any other cheater bar pipe. Center socket hole is 2.60” in diameter.

Best for large yokes used on the Dana 80, 14 Bolt, AAM11.5. Also fits large square bolt patterns used on Ford and Chrysler yokes. If you have a Dana 80, you must use this version due to massive 1 7/8” pinion nut socket size.

If you’re wondering if this will fit your application, measure from center to center -diagonally- of the mounting holes on the yoke (for U joint straps or direct driveshaft flange). The smallest diagonal hole measurement this will accept is 3.25”, which should fit a down to a 1310 U joint yoke. The largest diagonal hole measurement is 4.85”. Please measure first to make sure! Contact us if you need help with this.

Note: Be sure to use washers, and that the yoke/flange bolts have plenty of thread engagement. We highly recommend purchasing a 3/4” drive breaker bar (Harbor freight version works great) to use for crush sleeve installation. This combined with your new pinion holder will allow you to turn the nut and crush the sleeve without bending or breaking tools.
