Built after a customer sent photos of a heavily worn tailstock center. If you run your setup hard, this stainless skin protects the center and can be swapped out if it's ever damaged, without replacing the whole center.

New tailstocks now include it standard. This is for upgrading a tailstock with the older ABS center, or replacing a worn skin.

Materials and build

Precision cut and formed stainless steel, mounted with stainless hardware into threaded inserts. If the wear surface is ever damaged, it can be removed and replaced without replacing the whole center.
